I just found this amazing artist on Artire. Her name is Gina she does needle felted sculptures of your pet. She works from photos of your pet. She uses alpaca, llama or sheep wool rovings. This is just one example of her lovely work. I just came across Jewelry To Keep shop on artfire http://www.suzbax.artfire.com/ As soon as I saw the sacred heart rosary bracelet I thought of my Mom. My Mom is a good catholic Mother who belongs to the rosary society at her church. Any good catholic would be proud to wear such a lovely rosary bracelet.

When I came across the Show Your Team Spirit bracelet. I immediately thought of my sister Tracy. Tracy and her husband Rick are big Iowa State supporters. They have a son Nick who has already graduated and his little brother Lance will be starting at ISU next school year. I could just imagine the bracelet in ISU colors with a Cy mascot dangling from it.

Spoiled Bratz Wear & Hatz 4 Brats

My friend Holly makes the cutest clothes for animals. You name it she makes it, from dog pjs, to wedding dresses. She even makes hatz for guinea pigs! If you can think it up, I bet Holly can make it. Holly uses the finest fabrics from fleece to alpaca wool. Holly is also very involved in senior italian greyhound rescue. She has a rescue orginization. The site is www.silverhounds.org I will be making some special toys just for IGs for her rescue site. Holly will be having an auction in the near future to help raise money for the orginization. Italian Greyhounds are very near and dear to my heart. We had our little IG Cleo for 14 years. IGs are not for everyone but for the right person you could not have a better more loving companion.

Dennis Wattier wood artist

Dennis Wattier (who just happens to be my brother in law's brother) made this plate for Bill. It is constructed with some of the wood that has been reclaimed from the great lakes. Some of the wood is from logs that sunk in the great lakes over 100 years ago, but had been preserved by the cold water. Bill bought a few pieces when we went to Timeless Timber in Ashland, Wisconsin. We knew Dennis did beautiful work, but when we saw this we were in awe.

Sad day for Mom and Dad

Today we took our son Russ and his beagle Karter to the airport. They are moving to Washington state to join his fiancee Annie. We had a nice day and evening Thursday. The grandparents came to see Russ before he moved. I did pretty well, actually a lot better than I thought I would do. I didn't cry until I turned around to leave. I have never been this far from my child. I know especially with this economy that they must move where the jobs are. They both promised we will keep in contact, he even bought his Momma a web cam with a mic so we can skype. I know Annie will take great care of him. We are all looking forward to their Sept. 26 wedding. I miss you son.

I have been purchasing from Ladybutton over three years now, they have the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. If they don't have it they will search for a fabric for you. You can usually find someone online to help you through their chat features. They are also available by toll free phone. They always ship out your order right away. If lovely fabric and execllent customer service is what you desire, you can't go wrong with Ladybutton Fabrics.

Progress

It sounds like my new sewing room will be coming together even faster than I thought. The drywall is getting finished, we hope to paint early next week. Bill has a guy lined up to install the carpet next week. I will be SO HAPPY to have a sewing room. The room is 13 1/2' x 13 1/2'. Compared to the tiny corner in the spare bedroom, it will be HUGE!!!! I am so excited I can hardly wait.

I recently found out about artfire. It is a great place to sell handmade items and meet new friends. Lynne will eventually have an interactive site for kids and their parents. I will let you know when she has her site up and running. I just love the banner, it has my friend's yorkie Precious with some of my toys on it.
